Park Safety & Restrictions

Your Safety at Squamish Canyon

We’re committed to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests. Please respect all safety signage and park guidelines during your visit. Unsafe or disruptive behaviour may result in removal from the park without refund, and could lead to serious or fatal injury.

While Exploring the Canyon:

  • Stay on designated walkways and viewing platforms at all times. Surfaces may be slippery when wet.

  • Children and youth must be accompanied by an adult (18 years or older) at all times.

  • Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising those in their care.

  • Do not attempt to retrieve dropped items. Please speak with a member of our team for assistance.

  • Smoking, vaping, and e-cigarettes are strictly prohibited throughout the experience.

  • Drones are not permitted anywhere in Squamish Canyon.

  • Dogs are welcome only during designated times. All other pets are not permitted at any time.

  • Park areas are monitored by video surveillance for your safety.

Ticketing & Admission:

  • Tickets purchased through unauthorized third-party resellers will not be accepted.

  • A government-issued ID may be required upon entry to verify ticket details.

  • Management reserves the right to deny entry or remove any guest for intoxicated, unsafe, or non-compliant behaviour, without compensation or refund.

  • All prices are listed in Canadian dollars and are subject to GST. Pricing is subject to change without notice.

  • The boardwalk is 1.5km long and 1e recommend planning to spend 45 to 90 minutes

    Squamish Canyon is open rain or shine, and each season brings a unique beauty to the experience.

  • Squamish Canyon is a scenic 1 hour drive from Vancouver on the iconic Sea to Sky Highway, 20 minutes from downtown Squamish and 45 minutes from Whistler.

    If you are driving an EVO or similar rental car service that requires an app to unlock your vehicle, please note that there is very limited cell reception in our parking lot area.

    Currently there is no shuttle service from Squamish to Squamish Canyon. Taxis will pick up and drop off at our location.

  • Free parking is located on site! Space is limited and we recommend carpooling if possible.

    Accessible parking is located next to our washroom facilities.

    Bike parking is also located on site by our entrance gate.

    We do not currently have EV parking on site, but stay tuned!

  • Dogs at Squamish Canyon
    Dogs are welcome to visit Squamish Canyon during our Doggie Happy Hour. Well behaved dogs are welcome to join their owners on the boardwalk for the last two hours of operation.

    January 1st - June 30th: 2:00pm - 4:00pm (last entry at 3:00pm)

    July 1st - August 31st: 5:00pm - 7:00pm (last entry at 6:00pm)

    To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all:

    • Dogs must remain leashed, under the supervision of their owner and on the boardwalk at all times

    • Owners must clean up after their pets

    • Owners respect other guests visiting Squamish Canyon

    Service Animals
    Certified service and guide dogs are permitted at all times. We kindly ask guests to present certification when checking in and that service and guide dogs wear their service vest.

    Emotional support animals are not included.

  • Squamish Canyon invites you to enjoy the following amenities:

    • On-Site Food & Beverage

    • Fully Licensed Forest Lounge with ample outdoor and covered seating

    • Picnic Areas

    • Washrooms by the Parking Lot and in the Forest Lounge

  • Squamish Canyon is proudly a smoke and vape-free environment.

    Located by our parking lot is a smoking area.

  • Any film production coming to Squamish Canyon must be organized ahead of time. Please e-mail info@squamishcanyon.com

    Drones are not permitted at Squamish Canyon.

Accessibility

  • The Squamish Canyon boardwalk is 1.5km long. Due to the natural environment and our mission to impact the forest as little as possible when building the boardwalk, there are stairs located throughout. The stairs steps are all low rise to make them as low impact as possible.

    The difficulty level of this activity is mild to moderate.

    Rest areas with benches are located throughout the boardwalk.

  • For guests unable to walk the boardwalk, we are happy to provide accommodations.

  • Our accessible parking is located after the turn off for the main parking lot, a left turn after passing our washroom facilities.

  • Strollers are not recommended due to the stairs located throughout Squamish Canyon, but we won’t stop you from bringing one in!

    We recommend baby carriers for an easier journey.

  • We accept Access 2 Cards! Your access 2 Card will provide free entry for the caregiver of the cardholder.

    Please note, Access 2 Cards can not be used in combination with another promotion.

Tickets, Annual Passes and Giftcards

  • Day Tickets and Annual Passes are non-refundable.

  • Tickets can be purchased at on site at the ticket window at any time during our hours of operation.
